INGREDIENTS
1 small bowl of fox nuts or makhana
2 tbsp ghee
1 small bowl of fox nuts or makhana
2 tbsp ghee
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp chat masala
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chat masala
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp chilli powder
METHOD
- On a hot non stick pan, melt ghee and top over the fox nuts
- On low to medium flame, begin to roast them. After a while, it might get a little smoky but don't worry.
- Continue to roast for 10 odd minutes till they are crisp. Keep stirring. You don't want it burning.
- Taste one to check its crunchiness. It ought to be crunchy enough for you to like it. Continue till the crispiness is just right (for you).
- Mix all the masalas in a small bowl and sprinkle the powder over the roasting fox nuts. Stir for 30-45 secs. You don't want the dry powder to burn.
- Take it off the heat.
- Let it cool and store in an air tight container.
- Booyah... healthy 4pm snack ready!
